Types of motorcycle license

In our country there are four types of specific driver's licenses for mopeds and motorcycles:

CARNET AM:
From 15 years old. You can drive two or three-wheel mopeds up to 50 cc, as well as light quadricycles.

CARNET A1:

The first thing you have to decide is the type of permission you want to obtain. In some cases, it is worth waiting for! For example, if you are 15 years old and want to get your AM card, it is better to wait until 16 and get your A1 card directly. The same happens if you are 18 years old; If you wait a couple of years you can get your license A directly, which will allow you to drive any type of motorcycle.

How much I have to spend to get a motorcycle license?


The price of the motorcycle license varies between the different categories:
    1. Moped license: the license to drive mopeds up to 50cc ranges between € 250 and € 350, always depending on the area.
    2. License A1: the license to drive motorcycles up to 125cc ranges between € 450 and € 700, always depending on the area.
    3. License A2: the license to drive motorcycles with a 35kW power limit ranges between € 450 and € 700, always depending on the area.
    4. License A: the license to drive motorcycles with no displacement or power limit has a fixed price of between € 150 and € 350, depending on the area.
The number of practices included in each of the packs will depend on each driving school. Many offer a number of variable practices, so your budget may be less if you are skilled or if you already have experience driving motorcycles.

Before choosing the first driving school that you get in Google results, it is better that you make a thorough comparison. Depending on the area where you live, you may even be compensated to move to get your card elsewhere, where it is less expensive.

Keep in mind that some driving schools offer packs of theoretical and practical classes at a very competitive price, but the number of classes is not always sufficient, so you have to pay an extra later. Also, trying to pass the exam with the number of ridiculous lessons some schools offer may be unrealistic.

Some offers include 1 or more attempts to pass the exam. Even if you trust yourself, it is worth your pack to include more than one attempt both in theory and in practice.
